Wilson is jealous of House's new boyfriend. The story starts out as simple as that, but after Wilson gets transfered to Gotham City, he meets the infamous Joker. And after that, things start to spin wildly out of control. In Stay Away From The Glass, [livejournal.com profile] sodiumbisulfite crafts a dark, surreal story about jealousy and revenge. In this story, she takes on four completely different fandoms and weaves together characters from each of them to form a coherent whole. All her characters are deeply, humanly flawed, and the Joker is especially a terrifying, unknowable menace. Crossover Fandom: Stargate: Atlantis
Pairing: House/Wilson, McKay/Sheppard, House/Wilson/McKay/Sheppard
Rating: NC-17
Length: 20 500 words
Spoilers: Through "Whatever It Takes" for House; through "Quarantine" for Stargate: Atlantis.
Summary: Two days, four men, one California King mattress. Sometimes two and two can add up to something more.
Excerpt )

If you have a great love for both House, M.D. and Stargate: Atlantis, then you'll love a crossover between them that brings both fandoms' favourite characters together. In For A Pound is [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry's extension of a 'verse started with the story Out Of The Blue, and it involves House, Wilson, McKay, and Sheppard meeting up and deciding to spend the weekend together engaged in every indecent and salubrious activity they can fit on a list. [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry's dialogue is well done, and the interactions between House and Sheppard are amusing. The moment when House and McKay play the piano together is particularly endearing. In For A Pound is a fun romp of a story, wherein each character and each pairing is given its own moment and individual dynamic. [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry takes great delight in offering up every possible fantasy for the reader's delectation, and the result is explosive.

Title: The Open Road
Author: [livejournal.com profile] pun
Pairing: House/Wilson
Rating: NC-17
Length: 25 000 words
Spoilers: Through season three.
Summary: Wilson goes along for the ride.
Excerpt )

The Open Road is the consummate roadtrip fic. [livejournal.com profile] pun combines the best of the travelling tropes--sleeping together in tiny rundown motels, country fairs with carnies, and being trapped together for hours in the car--with a wonderful exploration of House and Wilson's characters at a crossroad in their relationship. The road itself is a character; [livejournal.com profile] pun does a marvelous job of evoking the changing setting. The disconnected mood of the story fits Wilson's POV perfectly, as he follows House's lead and tries to understand his motives. This works especially well during their intense first kiss and Wilson's subsequent confusion. The sex scenes are incredibly hot, but they don't discount the importance of the way House and Wilson's friendship is changing. In the end, The Open Road leads to a conclusion that feels flawlessly appropriate.

Title: Dark Water
Author: [livejournal.com profile] delphinapterus
Pairing: House/Wilson, House/Wilson/Cuddy, Cuddy/Wilson
Rating: NC-17
Length: 20 000 words
Spoilers: None
Summary: Wilson has to do a freebie because of a mix up with a race horse. House is just getting back into the game and Cuddy finds both these ghosts from the past showing up at the same time. Things get complicated with two FBI agents are thrown into the mix and Chase finally gets a solo hit.
Excerpt )

Dark Water takes an interesting turn as a House AU where House and Wilson run a business together--as hit men. With Chase as their somewhat bungling assistant, they're doing well for themselves, until a woman from both their pasts shows up unexpectedly. When Cuddy becomes the target of an assassination plot, [livejournal.com profile] delphinapterus's fast-paced, light-hearted story takes off. With banter, hijinks, and a hint of a fusion with Grosse Point Blank, Dark Water is a fun rollercoaster of a story. [personal profile] delphinapterus makes best use of all the characters, including an amusing subplot for Chase, as House and Wilson slowly discover that everything between them and Cuddy is more than what it first seemed--and it has the potential to become something even greater.

Pairing: House/Wilson, House/OFC
Rating: R
Length: 28 500 words
Spoilers: Through season three; AU for season four.
Summary: The world changes forever. House and Wilson must cope.
Excerpt )

Half Life is an amazing work of speculative fiction. [personal profile] oldblue uses the universe of House MD as a jumping off point into an unsolvable mystery and a vision of a dystopic world with little hope for those affected. The level of detail and description makes the story believable and bleak. The richness of the characters' interactions makes the reader feel for them and follow them. Alone even among those who, like him, are afflicted with an ever-increasing lycanthropy, House escapes captivity only to ask Wilson for a more permanent solution. The points of view, especially House's in the guise of the wolf, are effective and powerful. The quietly inevitable last scene of Half Life is wrenching, and [personal profile] oldblue does a wonderful job of carrying the reader through until that ultimate moment.
